"Cold Front"

Wow. We had a little front come through, and the temps are fantastic. It's in the 60's this a.m., and it's expected to be upper 80's this afternoon. We stayed in the 70's Tuesday. But the Frio water temps haven't changed, and there's still lots of time to enjoy it's pleasures.

I took this picture yesterday afternoon at the 3rd crossing(7 Bluffs). Hondo, from Concan Pies and I were riding around on business....... and stopped to take it all in.
These folks were on the downriver side of the crossing enjoying their peaceful surroundings. They had it all to themselves. This could be you!
View from the deck of the wonderful vacation home, Vista del Rio.
If you want to enjoy the beautiful Frio River when it is serene and peaceful, but still warm enough to immerse yourself in it's crystal clear waters, now's the time. If you've never experienced being on the River with only those with you, you ought to try it. There's still quite a few folks coming on the weekends, but weekdays are very quiet right now.
We hope to see yall soon, take care. FrioMan

What beautiful pics, wish I could come during the week, my daughter and a friend of hers went out Tuesday and said they saw two other tubers and that was it. She said it was great, just a day trip but well worth it. She took a first timer and he was just amazed, is ready to go back. We will be back there next Thursday for the weekend and cannot wait. Once again those days till we leave are creeping and I'm day dreaming.....

Frioman,
Thanks for calling the 3rd crossing by it's correct name...the 3rd crossing! It's been called that longer than you have been alive. Man, thats a while, huh?
We need to keep things in the old school.
your amigo, and arrowhead hunting partner,
