Erin Go...away

Hi Guys

Well, things had gotten back to normal here at the Frio River, with the temps in the 90's, the ground dried up, and the River still runnin great. Just yesterday I was on the ridin mower in a huge cloud of dust.

And now, the rains are back, thanks to a wild child by the name of Erin. According to the NWS, the Frio is supposed to rise to about 11.5 feet, oh heck, I'll just copy & paste.

820 PM CDT THU AUG 16 2007 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AUSTIN/SAN ANTONIO HAS ISSUED A* FLOOD WARNING FOR THE FRIO RIVER AT CONCAN.* FROM FRIDAY MORNING TO FRIDAY EVENING...OR UNTIL THE WARNING IS CANCELLED.* AT 7:30 PM THURSDAY THE STAGE WAS 4.8 FEET.* MINOR FLOODING IS FORECAST.* FLOOD STAGE IS 11.0 FEET.* FORECAST...RISE ABOVE FLOOD STAGE AFTER MIDNIGHT FRIDAY MORNING AND CONTINUE TO RISE TO NEAR 11.5 FEET NEAR SUNRISE FRIDAY. THE RIVER WILL FALL BELOW FLOOD STAGE BY LATE FRIDAY MORNING.* IMPACT...AT 12.0 FEET...MODERATE LOWLAND FLOODING REACHES CAMPING AREAS NEAR RIO FRIO TO ABOVE CONCAN DURING RECREATION MONTHS THREATENING CAMPERS, AUTOS, RV TRAILERS, CANOES AND GEAR. LOW ROADS AND BRIDGES ARE FLOODED AND DANGEROUS TO AUTO TRAFFIC.

And that's all I have to say about that!

We're still waitin on our last party to check in, everyone else has arrived and is safely in their FrioMan homes. I'll venture out manana and see what's goin on & let yall know.
What's wrong with this picture? Looks like grandpa, grandson, and the family dog are havin a great time on the Frio. But something(s) is there that shouldn't be...what is it?
See Yall Tomorrow, FrioMan

Great picture, but there is cans and a deflated tube sitting on the shore. Could be retrieved in just a moment.
