We got about 2" of good rain(is there any other kind?)
2nd crossing todayThe USGS gauge showed about a 4 inch increase, but the River looks a whole lot better than that sounds. This photo and the one below were from this afternoon, and the flow & level has increased quite a bit.

Today in Reagan WellsThe wildlife in our area should benefit greatly from the recent rains, and boy, do they need some groceries. They can't survive on deer corn alone.
Although we're in a heck of a drought, don't believe everything you read and hear in the news.

We just got home today from the Frio and had a wonderful time. We even toobed and that rarely happens on spring break. But it was very warm and the water was too good not to! From Seven Bluffs to the 2nd crossing it took us 2 1/2 hours and thats not too darn bad. The river is low but its running and just as relaxing and wonderful as ever. We drove by your new ofc on the way home but you were no where in sight, maybe next time. For now, I am renewed and relaxed for a little while because of the beautiful Frio and the hills that surround it.
Glad to see the river was running during Spring Break. I have been checking back and I have not seen a blog or pics on recent river pics. We are coming up Memorial Weekend in 2 weeks and didnt know if the river had enough for tubing this time around. Last year was very dry. Thanks for any feedback.
